"For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function of the woman for that which is against nature, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper." Romans 1:26-28

Homosexuality is a dangerous sin which easily leads to a severed conscience. Paul told the Corinthians in his first letter that homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God. In itself, homosexual sin is not any more grievous than heterosexual sin, but Satan has a hidden tactic for those who choose to act out the lusts of their homosexual passions. A heterosexual practicing the lusts of his heart rarely justifies himself by saying, -"I can’t help it, I was born immoral." A promiscuous woman would not expect her behavior to be accepted if she tried to justify her actions by saying, -"I can’t help it, I am attracted to men."

We are all born with propensities that we must battle with to overcome. From an early age some of us struggle with anger, fear, selfishness, envy, jealousy, etc. But we never accept that it is ok to give in and act out these things. Some have a stronger sex drive than others, but again, to give in to any base passions or vice is not acceptable in our society or to God. "I punched Joe because he made me mad, and he knows that I have a short temper." "I spread that rumor about Jennifer because I am jealous of her." We all feel like doing things that we know is wrong and when we give in our conscience pains our heart.

In mainstream America wanton sexual promiscuity is not well received by the majority. Derogatory labels are often placed on women who are loose with their sexuality and they are never respected. Fathers and mothers despise the thought of their daughters being used for the sexual gratification of men. Many who practice sexual immorality know and feel that it is wrong but still give in to their passions. No one wants their conscience to pain the heart so people come up with various excuses to ease the pain, -"I really care about him/her - it’s my significant other." "Someday we’re going to get married." "Marriage is just a piece of paper." "God understands."

With heterosexuality the emphasis is on the immoral acts themselves and everyone understands that you are weak when you rebel against your conscience and give in to your base desires. - no one respects you. But Satan has rearranged the argument with homosexuality. He has successfully made the issue the person rather than the immoral acts practiced. "I’m gay, I was born this way - it’s just who I am." Yet no one says, -"I’m heterosexual, I was born this way, it’s why I practice immorality."

This implies that the gay person is not someone weak yielding to lustful temptations, but a person just naturally being who they are. Since this idea is readily accepted in much of our society today the person acting on their homosexual lusts will soon find their heart is severed from their conscience and they become forever enslaved to this sin. A person may experience lust for the other sex or the same sex, but sexual relations outside of marriage is sin and carries the penalty of the Lake of Fire. The homosexual has received the lie that his sin is not imputed because, -"I am just being me" when the truth is they are just giving in to a lust which will destroy them.

The truth is, salvation requires repentance from practicing sin regardless of what specific sins happen to plague us. The Bible defines sin as the transgression of God's Law (1 John 3:4) and Law in it's broadest sense is defined in Scripture as God's word of instruction. It is very important that Christians, who are God's Ambassadors faithfully and accurately convey what God requires from all sinners - that they confess their sins, repent from practicing them, and receive and trust in the sacrifice and risen life of Christ Jesus.

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulteresses, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such WERE some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

On the Day of Judgment it will not matter what we have convinced ourselves into believing. The Bible says that the Books of the Bible will be opened (Rev.20) and every person will be judged by what is written in them and how they yielded to the instruction contained in them. There will be no debate and no excuse will be accepted - your opinion or public opinion will not carry an ounce of weight at Judgment and there will be no mercy for the rebellious who had refused to turn from practicing their sins. Dear Brethren, please do not fail God or your fellow man by relaxing a Standard which He does not relax - all sinners must turn from their sins to be saved.

 

Identical Twin Studies Prove Homosexuality is Not Genetic

Eight major studies of identical twins in Australia, the U.S., and Scandinavia during the last two decades all arrive at the same conclusion: gays were not born that way.

“At best genetics is a minor factor,” says Dr. Neil Whitehead, PhD. Whitehead worked for the New Zealand government as a scientific researcher for 24 years, then spent four years working for the United Nations and International Atomic Energy Agency. Most recently, he serves as a consultant to Japanese universities about the effects of radiation exposure. His PhD is in biochemistry and statistics.

Identical twins have the same genes or DNA. They are nurtured in equal prenatal conditions. If homosexuality is caused by genetics or prenatal conditions and one twin is gay, the co-twin should also be gay.

“Because they have identical DNA, it ought to be 100%,” Dr. Whitehead notes. But the studies reveal something else. “If an identical twin has same-sex attraction the chances the co-twin has it are only about 11% for men and 14% for women.”

Because identical twins are always genetically identical, homosexuality cannot be genetically dictated. “No-one is born gay,” he notes. “The predominant things that create homosexuality in one identical twin and not in the other have to be post-birth factors.”

Dr. Whitehead believes same-sex attraction (SSA) is caused by “non-shared factors,” things happening to one twin but not the other, or a personal response to an event by one of the twins and not the other.

For example, one twin might have exposure to pornography or sexual abuse, but not the other. One twin may interpret and respond to their family or classroom environment differently than the other. “These individual and idiosyncratic responses to random events and to common environmental factors predominate,” he says.
