"I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father." 2 John vs 4

In the beginning God made both man and woman and placed them in a very special garden paradise which He had lovingly prepared for them. God had wondrous plans for them and gave them dominion over the earth. Sadly, one day they received and believed a lie from the enemy of God. In doing so they exchanged the truth for a lie. As the practice of lies spread to all, the whole world became enslaved to sin and suffers terribly because in Eden a lie was received and acted upon.

The Apostle Paul explained to the Christians at Rome that at one time all men knew the truth but they exchanged it for a lie. Because of this God gave them over to the lusts of their hearts to practice the lie and the world has suffered since.

 

The appalling fruits of this decision cannot be taken lightly. Death, suffering, pain, war, betrayal, mental anguish, hatred and many atrocities have been committed against humanity. Even nature itself and the animal kingdom has been corrupted and suffers horribly and is now awaiting the revelation of the Truth.

Jesus declared Himself to be the Truth and promised those who would receive and continue in His Word would know the truth and would be set free by the truth. (John 8:31-32) Jesus is the "Word" that is sown as "seed" into the hearts of men. (Matt.13)

The first Adam crushed the truth down to the earth and lived the lie and all men followed his example. But now the truth has risen from the earth in Jesus Christ, the Truth of God. Let us begin this new year by always rejecting the lie, embracing the truth and walking in it faithfully.
